Mashuda’s Cooking Course
A cooking course designed for the absolute beginner cook. Starting students at the very basic of techniques and recipes equipping them with the skills to create beautiful meals. An interactive class kept to a maximum of 4 students to insure individual, hands on attention.
8 lessons at 2 hours each spanning over 4 weeks.
All recipes, spices, utensils and ingredients will be provided.

WHO IS IT FOR
Younger female aged between 13 -2 5 who are finding their feet in the kitchen.
This lesson we will be doing basic cooking skills such as prepping food , reading and understanding recipes , must have in an Indian pantry and fridge , handling ingredients , learning all the spices , different types of lentils , flour and veggies also learn how to convert and read measurements .
Dough making: ROTI AND PURI
Discuss roti making
Make dough with a talk through and demonstration , all students all also make the dough
How to get the correct texture
Rolling of roti
Frying and storing of roti
Learn how to prepare and fry perfect puri
Let's start with basic cooking skills .
Indian style braising for type of curry foods
Cut and clean chicken
Cooking a chicken curry step by step
Learn how various different cuisines differ in their approach .
Cooking techniques and cleaning at the same time .
This lesson I will monitor the cutting and cleaning of chicken .
3 different marinades for chicken roast ( spices , sauces etc )

How to store left overs and turn the left overs into another dish .
All about lentils .
Students all choose what lentil they want to prepare

How each type of lentil is cooked
Rotis will also be made to perfect the rotis

Different types of steaks and what they are used for
Cut and clean steak for different types of foods
How to tenderize and marinade steak
Cooking of steak .
Students will choose what type of steak they prefer to make.
Talk through of different types of sides that can be prepared.
Different parts of a sheep
Learn to choose mutton when meat shopping
What different meat parts are used for eg . Curry , halem , chops
How to cut and clean mutton .
Will make 1 mutton dish in the class
Different types of rice
Difference between boiled and braised rice
How to braise rice
Also learn how to make a plain dhal that goes with rice .
Recipes and notes will be provided in each lesson .
Students will be given a notepad to make additional notes
If students want to learn anything else , they will be thought .
Everything that students prepare will be taken home by them .
